Our client is presently seeking to recruit an experienced Business Development Manager to build market positioning nationally and internationally for its unique product services and sales activity ensuring profitable business growth.

Reporting to the Commercial Director and responsible for the Business Development Executive, key tasks and responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:

 

  • Maintain and grow business through strong customer relations, managing annual sales objectives and ensuring national and international targets are met across all service lines.
  • Manage the lead to contract process and close opportunities in line with sales plans and budgets.
  • Manage the expansion of existing dynamic business, development of new territories and the introduction of new product lines and services.
  • Locating potential business deals by contacting potential partners; discovering and exploring opportunities.
  • Managing opportunities by use of internal CRM system.
  • Maintaining the CRM system on a weekly basis ensuring all pertinent information is current and correct.
  • Evaluating the Company’s competitive environment on a continual basis and strategically evaluating potential new customers/business opportunities.
  • Provide clear direction, task instructions and knowledge support to BD Executive as agreed with Commercial Director.
  • Set high standard of professionalism to peers and colleagues.
  • Screening potential business deals by researching market strategies, deal requirements and financials, whilst evaluating options, resolving internal priorities and recommending equity investments.

Skills and Experience Required:

 

  • Educated to degree level, preferably in an engineering/technical/business discipline.
  • Well-developed network of contacts within the Oil and Gas Industry.
  • Considerable sales experience and technical knowledge in the oil and gas industry, with a proven track record of penetrating markets and creating successful relationships.
  • Strong knowledge of offshore subsea flow assurance issues, fire water safety systems, integrity management or industrial cleaning technologies preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office Suite ( Word, Excel, Powerpoint).
  • Background in either subsea/topside/pipelines.
  • Must be willing to travel as international travel will be required.
  • 3-5 years’ sales experience.
  • Solutions seller, in terms of understanding products line and being able to match the need to the client’s requirements (as opposed to selling a ‘product’).
