Thorpe Molloy’s oil and gas client are in the market for a technically-strong and professionally-qualified Financial Accountant to lead their periodic reporting process. Working closely with their Head of Finance the position also has responsibility for a small team. Applicants should be CA/CIMA/ACCA qualified with experience in a similar role, ideally in an E&P environment.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Monthly/quarterly/annual reporting, liaising with Auditors and ensuring accuracy and IFRS compliance throughout.
- Mentoring and coaching staff, leading process improvement initiatives and encouraging technical competence.
- Focussing on cash, Balance Sheet reconciliations, consolidated accounts, tax compliance and business performance.
Ideal Candidate
- Professional qualification with an up-to-date knowledge of accounting and reporting standards.
- Significant oil and gas industry experience.
- ERP proficiency, advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
