The Operations Leader will manage the respective lines of business to include Aftermarket Services, Product, Projects and Voice and Applications. Additionally, the job holder will manage Professional Services and Regional Operations Engineering. This role would report directly to the VP and GM EMEA.

Duties:

  • Provide strategic management to the Operations Team in the EMEA region.
  • Work with the VP & GM EMEA to provide unified leadership and healthy work environment that enriches the personal and professional lives of our employees.  
  • Work in co-ordination with Regional VPs and Country Managers towards full alignment and standardisation of service delivery across the region and globally.
  • Overall responsibility and single interface for regional operations and services.
  • Act as a Senior Incident Manager for major escalations.
  • Development of regional metrics that fully represent utilization including actual hours, billable hours, time-off etc that are used to derive hiring thresholds.
  • Planning and budgeting activities in close coordination with the VP & GM EMEA.
  • Continuously analyse process, procedures and activities for areas of improvement that will improve scalability/capability and ultimately drive greater margins, customer value, and market share.
  • Ensure that all resources are trained, fully equipped, and available to meet the demands of our customers. Work with the Accelerated Training Centre group to develop training requirements.
  • Establish and foster cross-functional teamwork and interactions across work groups, departments and regions.
  • Build and maintain strong operational relationships with vendors, providers and customers within the region and around the globe to ensure that service matches the requirements of regions and business environment.
  • Create, lead and participate on dynamic cross-functional response teams to manage and maintain normal operational states, support business initiatives, and corporate strategies.
  • Build trust and confidence levels within and across the organisation and demonstrate behaviours that forge and strengthen interpersonal relationships around the globe.
  • Create specific feedback loops with stakeholders and use as part of a continuous improvement cycle.
  • Work closely with the Program Managers and commercial organisation to track HCC performance with Strategic accounts. Drive strong performance for SQ, responsiveness, and financial performance. Drive growth within strategic accounts and maximise the services we provide.

Experience:

  • A leader with a passion for growing people, culture and positive work environment.
  • Telecommunications experience – service provider or carrier level required.
  • Relevant Satellite/VSAT experience and exposure.
  • P&L responsibility with successful track record growing businesses/departments in both revenues and efficiency.
  • Experience leading global teams that span time zones, geography and cultures.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and professional presence.
  • Experience creating and delivering creative material/presentations to executives, customers, public and industry forums.
  • In-depth technical understanding of telecommunications and IT technologies including satellite, wireless, and terrestrial system, particularly in energy or government applications.
  • Outstanding customer relationship skills.
  • Proficiency in multiple languages is desirable such as Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic, etc.

 Qualifications:

  • Relative experience in a senior leadership position.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or technical field essential.
