This role offers a unique opportunity for an experienced individual to join the company and shape the role to suit their strengths. Long term development is on offer too with the commitment to grow the sales function with the Business Development Manager being in charge of what will become a small department of sales persons.
Job Brief
- Planning, executing, and managing sales and marketing strategies; determines and develops marketing communication activities, evaluates marketing effectiveness, develops and executes marketing/advertising plan.
- Evaluates market and competitor activities and introduces appropriate changes in sales strategies to meet or exceed targets and ensures competitive position in the market.
- In the future to recruit, develop and manage a team of sales people to support the on-going growth of the company.
- Proactively develops and manages internal key stakeholder relationships.
- Participating and negotiating in prospect meetings to progress or close on new business.
- Monitoring and ensuring that all leads and prospects are followed up timeously.
- Instils highest standards of customer service and satisfaction.
- Contributing input regarding service development.
- Health and safety compliance on site for all staff and visitors.
Person Spec
- Proven experience in driving new sales in a variety of different sector areas.
- Ability to ‘account manage’ existing clients and maximise relationships.
- Experience of waste sector experience desirable.
- Ability to mentor/manage a team.
- Local network desirable.
