Sales Engineer - Based in Barton upon Humber - VR/14443
Our client, an established, well known Oil and Gas Engineering company have just placed a vacancy with us for a Sales Engineer / Sales Manager based in Barton upon Humber. Our client requires a candidate with a strong knowledge of compressors, pumping equipment and turbines / turbomachinery. Key Accountabilities:
- Secure rotating machinery repair and service work on Gas Compressors, Steam Turbines, Power Turbines and Pumping equipment.
- Secure the same above work from the UK and European refining sector, Industrial fertilizer plants, Gas distribution business, Gas power plants and general industry.
- Secure rotating equipment repairs and service work in the Independent Power production industry and Waste to Energy sector.
- Secure spare part replication business through reverse engineering capabilities in the above businesses.
- Develop the service business of the region and achieve the required input and margin against the budget.
- Generate new enquiries from the existing customer base.
- Grow the service division’s business by identifying and targeting new customers.
- Provide market intelligence and forecast information to the management team to assist in developing forecast and budgets.
- Create and manage sales opportunities proactively, utilizing the CRM system (Salesforce).
- Utilise the system to capture and harness customer feedback, analyse trends, create robust recovery action plans and generally use the system as a tool to increase business and ensure customer satisfaction is to a high level.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to support the overall sales strategy for the Turbomachinery business.
- Establish and build key customer relationships by meeting regularly to understand the requirements and to communicate customer needs back to the senior management team, to ensure that these requirements are met.
- Help develop and manage the Key Account Management process for specifically identified customers.
- Collaborate with marketing team to develop strategies for increasing customer awareness and drive lead generation.
- Collaborate with engineering team to identify and develop methods and techniques to meet market requirements and opportunities.
- Ensure that critical information is obtained from customers to assist project engineers and tendering engineers in compiling quotations.

- Repeat business and client retention.
- CRM system accuracy.
