Exciting opportunity for a qualified employment law specialist with at least 3 years PQE to diversify their experience and take on a varied and challenging workload covering a wide variety of duties in a well-established and high performing team.

Duties:

To provide support to Clients subscribing to the Advisory Service by providing telephone / e-mail advice and supporting this with written correspondence.  Employment law and HR solutions will be provided based on legislative requirements, best practice and commercial options. 

Advice and assistance will be given on a wide variety of subjects, including but not limited to:

Discipline, Grievance, Termination of Employment, Discrimination issues (sex, race, disability, age, religion, sexual orientation etc.) Redundancy Procedures, Absence, Contracts of Employment, Family Friendly Provisions, Employee Rights, Recruitment and Selection, Employee Relations, Employee Reward, TUPE.

  • Undertake consultancy projects on behalf of Clients as and when required.
  • Attend face-to-face advisory meetings either in the office or at a Clients’ premises as and when required.
  • Deliver Client updates / short presentations / training sessions on employment law / HR related topics.
  • Keep abreast of current and forthcoming legislation by materials made available by the Company.
  • Compile Company Policies and Procedures on behalf of Client Companies as a result of research into custom and practice and / or existing Company Procedures.
  • Review and update Contracts of Employment and Employee Handbooks on behalf of Client Companies. All documents will reflect current legislative requirements and best practice and will be produced after gaining an understanding of the Client’s business, researching custom & practice and reviewing existing Company Procedures.
  • Assist with production of monthly Client Newsletter, including responsibility for researching and writing of articles.
  • Assist with the research and writing of articles for publication in the press and other media.
  • Maintain accurate and up to date Client files and logs in the course of providing advice.
  • Recognise and pass on as appropriate commercial opportunities arising from contact with Clients.
