The Software Engineer will have the following responsibilities:

• Supporting engineering design for subsea, topside and field-service.
• Working with subsea control software systems.
• Software coding and PLC programming.
• Offshore installation, commissioning and fault finding with subsea control systems.
• Carrying out and supporting Factory Acceptance Testing of subsea control systems, including both software and hardware.
• Compiling technical and commercial tender submissions and documentation.
• Generating the creation and version control of system software requirements.

Experience / Qualifications / Training:

• Prior software engineering experience with subsea control software systems is essential.
• Previous experience within a similar role within the Oil and Gas Industry is essential.
• Experience with the majority of the following codes would be highly desirable:
  • Real time systems in a Windows environment. 
  • VB6 applications.
  • C,C++ Programming.
  • PLC Programming (Allen Bradley).
  • Open Systems.
• A Degree qualification in Electrical / Electronic / Software Engineering – with a strong bias towards software engineering would be preferred.
• Risk assessment training or experience is essential.
• Offshore certification would be preferred.
