The Scaffold Design Engineer will have the following responsibilities:

• Responsible for scaffold design engineering services for all offshore and onshore petrochemical projects / sites for various scopes of work, including welding habitats and lifting frames for large scale access scaffolds to Flare Booms and Drill Derricks.
• Consultation with clients / main contractors to discuss, resolve and design major structural scaffold design requirements.
• Design drawings, calculations and detailing of structural scaffolds to allow construction of structural scaffolds for offshore and land based construction / petrochemical sites.
• Regular site surveys onshore and at offshore installations with follow up reporting.
• Promotion of the company Scaffold Design service and scaffold innovations.
• Support with development and implementation of work packs in relation to scaffold design, including estimates and / or calculations.

Experience / Qualifications:

• An HND qualification in Civil or Structural Engineering is essential.
• Previous experience with AutoCAD software is essential.
• Knowledge / understanding of structural mechanics is essential.
