Our client has a requirement for a Safety Excellence Manager to join their team on a 6 month contract.

The primary purpose of this role is to lead the Safety Improvement Programme and ensure the delivery of safety excellence across the organisation. 

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Leading and developing the Safety Excellence Programme.
  • Organising the Safety Excellence Programme Governance Arrangements.
  • Chairing the Weekly Safety Improvement Programme Committee.
  • Developing associated project HSEQ plans in conjunction with operational management, HSEQ Manager and associated HSEQ Advisors to deliver company business objectives.
  • Developing, promoting and monitoring compliance with HSEQ performance indicators that are used to measure the success of the Safety Improvement Programme.
  • Developing and managing HSE Communications and the flow of HSEQ information to Management and Employees on themes identified in the Safety Improvement Programme.
  • Developing Safety Leadership across the business and hold individuals accountable for their behaviours and actions in relation to safety improvement.
  • Driving the Behavioural Safety Programme ACT Safety as the spine of the Safety Improvement Programme.
  • Ensuring risk management and hazard awareness processes and technical support procedures are robust, simple to follow and are being adhered to.
  • Producing and deliver HSEQ training to support the Safety Improvement Programme.
  • Managing internal and external relationships in particular with clients where safety performance has not been deemed as excellent.
  • Co-ordinating management visits and customer site audits to determine the penetration and adoption of the Safety Improvement.

Applicants to this role should have:

  • NEBOSH diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience within the industrial services sector and offshore industry.
  • Previous experience or improvement planning and change management.
