Currently recruiting for an Electrical Engineer on a contractual basis for an Aberdeen based Oil and Gas client. The contract duration will likely be between 12 and 18 months and the company is ideally looking to take on someone who is available at short notice. This role would suit a candidate who is in the early stages of their electrical engineering career within the Oil and Gas Industry.
The Electrical Engineer will have the following duties / responsibilities:
- Working on decommissioning projects within a Decommissioning Team.
- Reviewing drawings.
- Carrying out calculations.
- Documentation gathering.
- Answering electrical technical questions / queries.
- Attending meetings.
Experience / Qualifications:
- Prior office-based electrical engineering experience within the Oil and Gas Industry is essential.
- A Degree qualification in Electrical Engineering is essential.
- Experience with switchboards, motors and UPS systems is essential.
- Specific experience of working on operations and / or construction focused electrical engineering projects would be highly desirable for this role.
- Experience of working on decommissioning projects would be preferred.
- There will be the occasional requirement to carry out commissioning support and surveys both on-site across the UK and offshore so applicants will be expected to possess valid offshore certification.
