Currently recruiting an experienced Subsea Controls Commissioning Engineer on a contract basis for an Oil and Gas Operator based in Aberdeen. The contract will likely last for circa 6 months and the client is ideally looking to take on an individual who is available at short notice.

The Subsea Controls Commissioning Engineer will have the following main duties / responsibilities:

  • Responsible for subsea controls offshore pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.
  • Assisting in the development of the subsea offshore controls pre commissioning and commissioning test plans and ensuring technical compliance.
  • Developing of and adding input to the subsea planning scope, including the planning and scheduling of subsea pre-commissioning and commissioning activities, as well as reviewing the EPCI schedules and plans.
  • Assisting in the preparation and planning of the subsea start-up.
  • Responsible for being the onsite signatory for assurance and verification requirements for subsea controls equipment and the subsea systems pre commissioning and commissioning.

Experience / Certification:

  • Previous and recent experience within a similar Subsea Controls Commissioning Engineer position is essential for this role.
  • Previous experience of working directly with an Oil and Gas Operator is essential for this role.
  • Previous offshore experience is essential for this role.
  • Although it is mainly an onshore office-based role, the successful candidate will be required to work offshore for a period of time (3:3 rotation for over a 3 month period). Therefore, applicants must hold valid offshore certification (BOSIET / FOET, MIST, Offshore Medical, EBS etc.)
