Our client, a key player in the oil and gas drilling sector, requires a Global Supply Manager to lead the core support for SCM systems and processes by driving improvements, ensuring functionality and delivering support to the user community.

The Global Supply Manager will lead the core support for systems and processes in the extended SCM organisation.  Responsible for driving system and process improvements, engaging governance tools to ensure system functionality and processes are followed.  Delivering a SCM support service to the user community including support desk capability, master data maintenance, training and KPI development and monitoring.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prioritising, planning and managing workload impacting SCM Systems and Processes.
  • Maintaining, monitoring and enhancing existing SCM related systems and processes to deliver efficiencies, including evaluation of future ERP enhancements that have the potential to deliver further efficiencies to the business.
  • Project managing any significant enhancements to ERP systems directly impacting Supply Chain processes including implementation of new modules.
  • Delivering a robust SCM KPI programme, capable of demonstrating compliance and efficiency savings as well as identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Developing the Master Data Strategy as it relates to materials, equipment and vendors.
  • Developing, maintaining and delivering training and competency materials as they relate to systems and process for all SCM roles.
  • Contributing to the continual development and improvement of SCM Policy and Framework including Standards, Procedures and Work Instructions.

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Technology enabled training and development experience in the Oil and Gas industry, preferably with an Operator, Drilling Contractor or Service Company.
  • Experience of ERP platforms and architecture, preferably full SAP project lifecycle.
  • Applicants must be able to demonstrate leading the design, development and deployment of SAP MM training, (including Remote Logistics Management, Warehouse Management, Purchasing, Inventory Management).
  • Demonstrable Supply Chain knowledge and previous process design experience.
  • Ability to lead training teams across multiple geographical locations.
  • Knowledge of change management principles and methodologies.
  • Ability to influence others and move to a common vision.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills and demonstrate solid analytical judgement.
  • Project management experience for medium sized projects required.
  • SAP and Supply Chain Skills.
  • Educated to degree level.
