This role would suit an experienced Mechanical QC Inspector / CMM operator who has experience with Aberlink software, as well as the CMM and FaroArm devices.  The successful candidate will work within a busy Mechanical QC Team to expand the use of automated measuring devices, as well as perform dimensional and visual inspection of components and assemblies.

The Mechanical QC Inspector / CMM Operator will have the following main duties:

• Programing, updating and operating the CMM, FaroArm and other automated inspection devices.
• Dimensionally and visually inspecting machined components and assemblies.
• Performing detailed inspections using a variety of instruments and inspection devices.
• Compiling inspection reports and non-conformance reports.
• Processing concession requests and liaise with engineering and purchasing as required.
• Liaising with relevant departments regarding the processing of inspections.

Experience:

• Experience in the programming and operation of Aberlink CMM Software, FaroArm and other automated measuring and inspection devices is essential for this role.
• Previous experience in performing QC inspections using the CMM, FaroArm and other inspection devices is essential for this role.
• The successful candidate must be able to effectively interpret mechanical engineering drawings.
• Mechanical component inspection experience is essential.
• Previous hands-on machining experience would be advantageous.
