Rope Access and NDT Inspection Manager - VR/16547
Currently recruiting for an experienced Rope Access and NDT Inspection Manager on a permanent staff basis for an Oil and Gas client based in Aberdeen.
This will be an onshore based position and the Rope Access and NDT Inspection Manager will have the following main duties and responsibilities:
- Managing the planning and implementation of offshore and onshore inspection activities, including Rope Access activities, in order to satisfy contract and client requirements.
- Increasing market share in NDT services and Rope Access inspection activities, both in the UK and abroad.
- Performing and assisting with Business Development activities to contribute to the growth of the division and achieve additional revenue from new clients.
- Ensuring competence of personnel is maintained and promoting the training and development of the workforce.
- Maintaining and updating the company’s Rope Access certification and approval.
- Developing reporting systems to provide management with an effective overview of financial performance, as well as equipment utilisation and personnel utilisation.
- Providing accurate financial forecasting on a monthly basis of ongoing workscopes / quotations.
- Attending client meetings as required and managing the KPI process within Frame Agreements.
- Ensuring the safe and cost effective planning and implementing all inspection activities offshore and onshore.
- Liaising with the client as to the most suitable method of inspection to ensure that all contracts are carried out safely and effectively.
- Issuing concise job instructions, ensuring all staff complete projects in accordance with the company’s operating procedures and statutory / client specifications and requirements.
- Managing the timely submission of inspection reports in accordance with customer, quality and schedule requirements.
Experience / Qualifications:
- Applicants will be expected to hold at least an HND qualification in a technical / engineering subject.
- The successful candidate will be expected to possess considerable knowledge of IRATA processes and procedures and will ideally be certified to IRATA level 3.
- Previous experience with MPI, DPI and Ultrasonic NDT techniques is essential and the successful candidate will be expected to hold current / valid certification in MPI, DPI and Ultrasonic.
- Previous experience in a Rope Access / NDT / Inspection management type role is essential.
- The successful candidate will be expected to have a strong, hands-on rope access background as this role will involve the management of rope access equipment.
