Main duties and responsibilities

• Operating manual and CNC Lathes and milling machines.
• Producing components to fine tolerances from engineering drawings.
• Tracking and recording progress of all jobs on the shop floor via the ERP system.
• Controlling, recording and ensuring traceability of stock materials.
• Up-date the manual record of machine maintenance weekly.
• Machine items for general factory use within the group.
• Adopting good housekeeping practices for the Machine Shop Area (swarf clearance).
• Liaising with team leader and other departments on scheduling of workloads.
• Assisting with training and job or product awareness for other staff within the group.

Applicants to this role require

• Machining competency.
• Basic knowledge of Fanuc programming.
• Basic knowledge of conversational programming.
• Decipher drawings.
• Experience in similar role.
