As Customs Consultant, you will provide customs advice and training to clients to ensure they are achieving full compliance.

Duties and Responsibilities include:

• Ensuring that monthly statutory requirements are submitted to HMRC on behalf of the client.
• Carrying out Compliance Checks on HMRC declarations.
• Applying for and managing client HMRC MSS Reports.
• Providing technical advice whilst maintaining a commercial outlook for the company and client.
• Assisting with any HMRC applications for special procedures on behalf of the client.
• Managing the clients HMRC records where required.
• Providing support from ‘in-house’ at a client’s premises (where required).
• Carrying out any import/export amendments on behalf of the client.
• Conducting client reviews prior to HMRC audits to reduce their risk to financial exposure.
• Providing report of findings from reviews and recommendations.
• Assisting with the preparation, co-ordination, and delivery of any training courses.

Our client is seeking a candidate with the following experience, skills, qualifications, and attributes:

• Freight forwarding/logistics/customs experience is essential.
• Experience of Visio or similar package.
• Strong communicator both written and verbal.
• Ability to work on own initiative.
• Good organisational skills.
• Displays a positive attitude.
• Ability to understand HMRC Customs Declarations.
