Maggie's Cancer Caring Centres

Maggie’s Cancer Caring Centres, is a charity that helps people affected by cancer. There are currently five Maggie’s Centres in Scotland - Edinburgh, Glasgow, Dundee, Lanarkshire and Highlands. All the cash we raise is donated to the ongoing fundraising in support of the planned centre for Aberdeen.

Aberdeen Art Gallery is hosting our “My Future Aspirations” exhibition between 1st December - 14th January. For the duration of the exhibition the gallery is also selling our exhibition calendar, all proceeds will be donated to Maggie’s. On 21st June 2011 (it really did feel like the longest day!) 7 keen golfers from Thorpe Molloy Recruitment played 100 holes of golf for Maggie’s. In this grueling challenge each golfer walked 26 miles and played more than 500 shots between 4am and 11pm, raising over £7,500 for the charity.

Participating in Mos for Maggie’s in 2010, our handsome guys didn’t mind looking a bit daft for a good causing, growing a bit of facial hair throughout the month of November.

Our consultants love a challenge and they don’t get much harder than Maggie’s Monster Challenge. For three consecutive years (2008 – 2010), our enthusiasts pulled on their walking boots and used pedal power for the 30 mile cycle and 43 mile hike starting along the scenic Great Glen Way, then onto Fort William before finishing in Inverness - all within 24 hours!
