Our client has an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Sales/Business Development Manager with an expertise in Electrical Engineering/Electronics to join their growing team.

The Sales/Business Development Manager will primarily be responsible for providing leadership and direction for the sales and business development of the company, ensuring that new and existing clients are engaged to boost sales, whilst developing key relationships to achieve further growth.

Duties and Responsibilities will include:

  • Leading new Sales and BD campaigns.
  • Driving sales initiatives with a view to increasing business opportunities.
  • Engaging with existing clients to account manage current and future projects.
  • Leading and directing associated personnel with system usage.
  • Analysing client needs in terms of current business obstacles, identifying projects, and scoping potential solution sales.
  • Building the sales pipeline.
  • Delivering sales plans, account plans, and territory reports to senior management.
  • Attending industry and Electrical Engineering relevant events.
  • Assisting with the tender and proposal writing process.

Applicants to this role will ideally offer the following:

  • High-level knowledge of Business Development and Sales processes.
  • Oil and Gas industry, and Electrical Engineering experience.
  • 10+ years BD/Sales experience.
  • Adaptability to diverse working environments.
  • Experience of Sales and CRM systems.
  • Confident self-starter who can work independently.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills.
  • Associate/Bachelor’s degree in Management, Engineering or Other.
  • Membership of appropriate professional body ISM, CIM.
