Our client is a leader in their field of service provision to the oil and gas industry. They have an exciting new opportunity for a Contract Specialist to join them on a permanent basis.

Reporting to the Contracts Manager, this role has a particular focus upon providing efficient interpretation of Contractual documentation and the implementation of contractual and commercial strategies in support of both tendering and operational activities.

Duties and Responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting all contractual activities associated with the tendering and operational processes.
  • In conjunction with other commercial colleagues, undertaking Contractual review of ITTs and developing appropriate strategies taking into account risk management.
  • Preparing Qualifications, obtaining internal approvals from Senior Management as necessary.
  • Negotiation of Qualifications with existing and prospective clients.
  • Negotiation and administration of frame agreements and associated call-off orders.
  • Preparing and presenting Contract Summaries for use by Project Managers and Leadership to ensure that all relevant personnel are aware of Contractual obligations and objectives.
  • Negotiating and resolving surrounding contractual and financial disputes.
  • Coordinating and preparing project CTRs, Variation Order Requests, Variation Orders and Management of Change.
  • Assisting the wider Supply Chain Management Team to ensure that any project Subcontracts / Procurement have appropriate contracting terms in place.
  • Assisting project Cost Controllers with preparation of Client invoices.
  • Participation and involvement in tender, evaluation and negotiation and award of subcontracts.
  • Maintenance and adherence to all relevant contract-related processes.

Applicants to this role should offer the following:

  • Previous experience in a similar role within the oil and gas industry, ideally with experience in the subsea sector.
  • Excellent contractual knowledge and analytical skills.
  • Professional manner, excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced and changeable environment.
