Cost Analyst (Corporate Services) - VR/19572
Cost Analyst required on an ongoing basis for Oil Operator based in Westhill. Starting ASAP, the contract will initially be through to November however will be extended from there.
Reporting to the Lead Cost Controller, main duties are:
- Preparing Budgets and Forecasts.
- Regularly reviewing forecast expenditure against Budget/Forecast/Commitments.
- Developing and maintaining reports in SAP to monitor expenditure against Budgets, Forecasts, Commitments and AFEs.
- Conducting monthly reviews of the Cost Control data updating as appropriate in-line with significant activity changes in the monthly corporate planning.
- Preparing the Summary of Expenditure Reports for review.
- Analysing actual costs and forecast expenditure and providing details on variances between budget and previous forecast.
- Reviewing cost allocation and charge-back mechanisms periodically.
- Ensuring that all internal control and SOX procedures are fully complied with.
Requirements:
- Degree qualified with demonstrable relevant experience in the oil and gas industry.
- Understanding of Costing.
- Analytical skills with a knowledge of financial analysis techniques and economic measures.
- Computer literate, with experience of SAP, Excel and PowerPoint.
