A close second for why our recruiters enjoy their work so much is the variety of people they meet. It’s not only job seekers you’ll get to know but hiring managers and that can be anyone from the boss of a local business to a department manager for an international organisation.

Meeting people and making a really good impression upon them is crucial in this job. You’ll have to build rapport, develop trust, be really approachable and have excellent verbal and written communication skills. In this job good grammar and spelling is imperative.

Learning

Recruitment won’t have been covered in your coursework. But that’s fine. You’ll learn everything you need to know here, from very experienced recruiters. As well as the nuts and bolts of recruitment best practice (we’re award winners at this) you’ll also learn a host of new transferrable skills.

It is not essential to have a depth of technical knowledge (because we’ll teach you this too) but some level IT knowledge will get you up to speed much more quickly.

Eventually, you’ll manage all our IT recruitment work, so there’s definitely career progression opportunities here.
