Rate: Commensurate with experience

Currently recruiting for an experienced Instrument Engineer on a 12-month contract basis for an Oil & Gas Operator based in Aberdeen.

Reporting to the Instrument & Control Technical Authority, the Instrument Engineer will have the following main duties and responsibilities:

  • Providing instrument and control engineering support to Brae operations.
  • Operational instrument engineering and control support.
  • Identifying, scoping and engineering instrument and control modifications.
  • Managing vendors and support contractors.
  • Investigation and root cause analysis, following reliability events.

Experience / Qualifications:

  • A relevant Engineering Degree qualification (Instrument Engineering, Electrical & Electronic Engineering etc) is essential.
  • Chartered Engineer status, or working towards, would be preferred.
  • Previous and extensive experience in a similar Instrument Engineer type role, within the Oil & Gas Industry, is essential.
  • Previous experience in a similar role, directly with an Oil & Gas Operator, would be preferred.
  • Experience in the design, engineering and operation of instrument & control systems is essential.
