Reporting to the Technical Director, the Subsea Design Engineer will assist with the development of innovative technology and remote access inspection tooling.  The Subsea Design Engineer will have the following main duties and responsibilities:

• Production of 2D/3D part drawings and assemblies.
• Production of manufacturing drawings.
• Creation of parts and assemblies in Autodesk Inventor.
• Management of design drawings.
• Liaison with third party fabrication companies.
• Procurement of parts / equipment.
• Assembly and testing of new tools and equipment.
• Producing animations of tools and equipment for marketing purposes.

Experience / Qualifications:

• A relevant Engineering Degree (BEng / BSc) qualification would be preferred.
• Previous experience in a similar Design Engineer type role, within the Oil & Gas Industry, is essential.
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in the use of 3D CAD packages is essential.
• Design engineering experience, relating to tooling and welding, is essential.
• Previous inspection tooling design experience would be preferred.
• Previous Autodesk Inventor or Solidworks experience is essential.
• Applicants will be expected to possess a sound understanding of mechanical systems, as well as an appreciation of electro-mechanical design.
• Knowledge of NDT methods and techniques would be preferred.
