Our client is a leading service provider to the international oil & gas industry. They have a new requirement for a Contracts Engineer to join their team in Aberdeen to support the Well Engineering service line. This role is available either as a permanent position or a 12-month contract, depending on your preference.

Reporting to the Wells Subcontracts Team Lead, the successful applicant will manage subcontract activities related to Well Engineering operations for activities in the UK and Africa region.

You’ll be working in a busy, fast-paced environment and should therefore have the ability to work on your own initiative to engage with key stakeholder to execute subcontracts and contractual documents as required; ensuring compliance with company best policy.

Duties and Responsibilities will include:

  • Inputting / updating the subcontracts plan, ensuring its successful delivery and that any tendering activity is listed on the FPAL forward work plan.
  • Development of subcontract strategy papers and plans for designated client well operations.
  • Preparing, issuing and managing ITT packages; covering objective evaluation and award.
  • Preparation and issue of approved contract to selected contractors and managing any subsequent amendments.
  • Participating in the negotiation of Master Services Agreement subcontract terms with suppliers.

Applicants to this role should ideally have extensive experience in a similar role, including tendering, awarding, managing and negotiating contracts / subcontracts. This will ideally be reinforced by a degree in Law or Quantity Surveying. You should also have solid knowledge of LOGIC based terms & conditions.
