Stock Coordinator - VR/20207
Our client, an Oil & Gas Operator based just outside of Aberdeen, has a requirement for a Stock Coordinator to join their team on a contract basis.
As Stock Coordinator, you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of a comprehensive stock management, repair, and return and disposal service and for ensuring the most cost-effective solutions are achieved while maximizing the availability of equipment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinating material requirements planning and stock management in accordance with company procedures and JV accountancy rules.
- Carrying out stock replenishment and requisitioning processes and approve stock requisitions as per the DEA.
- Implementing stock optimisation strategies with regards to minimum, maximum, safety materials levels and dead materials (obsolete, surplus and damaged).
- Creating, maintaining and quality checking materials master data and ensuring integrity of information entered in SAP by controlling descriptions and modifications.
- Carrying out material’s re-integration and integration of company-owned equipment.
- Actively contributing to the 3C program by delivery of costs savings without compromising safety or quality.
- Complying with all applicable Contracts and Procurement rules, governance and process.
- Managing the repair of company-owned equipment ensuring all purchase orders are clearly understood, approved and issued in accordance with company rules.
- Building relationships with repair vendors, analyse repair work scopes with metier partners while negotiating acceptable commercial and contractual terms for the company.
- Managing approval to dispose of all Beyond Economical Repair and perished Materials from Drilling, Maintenance and Projects in accordance with DEA.
- Planning and carrying out audits of storage facilities onshore and offshore, third parties and repairing vendors as required ensuring consistency between SAP and physical quantity and condition of materials.
- Providing technical expertise in areas of specification, selection, procurement, inspection, storage and disposal of materials, spare parts and equipment.
- Participation and contribution to Materials Duet process.
- Participating in the recording of all stock optimisation activities.
- Assisting in preparation of evidence for inventory management SOX control.
- Participating in the Resolution of discrepancies when required from the Logistic entity.
- Contributing to the process of continuous improvement, including participation in and promotion of Lean initiatives and adoption and sharing of best practice.
- Demonstrating personal commitment to the SHE Policy and actively participate in Company safety awareness and initiative schemes.
- Maintaining awareness of and ensure compliance with all relevant Statutory and Company SHE standards.
Applicants to this position should offer the following:
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role within the oil & gas industry – specifically within the materials, contracts and procurement discipline.
- Knowledge and understanding of inventory control and materials management processes.
- Understanding of material specification, certification and verification processes.
- Understanding of the interfaces between stock co-ordinator function and user departments.
- Detailed knowledge of SAP Materials Management functionality.
- Knowledge and understanding of Maintenance and / or Drilling materials and procedures.
