Working for one of the world’s leading oilfield service companies, the Sourcing Specialist plays a key role in supporting strategic sourcing for the assigned portfolio. This is a permanent opportunity, well suited to applicants with 3-5 years of experiencing in Sourcing / Supply Chain.

As Sourcing Specialist, you will be responsible for implementing sourcing plans, market analysis and tactics to effectively manage sourcing activities to maximise supplier performance.

Duties and Responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing medium and long-term sourcing strategies.
  • Performing upstream market analysis.
  • Assessing risks and identifying mitigation plans.
  • Evaluating current and prospective suppliers.
  • Identifying cost elements and drivers, and setting cost targets.
  • Proposing future sourcing positioning and setting objectives.
  • Defining the shortlist of Preferred Suppliers for each assigned category.
  • Supporting the implementation of sourcing plans; monitoring compliance with the sourcing strategy.
  • Identifying opportunities to reduce wasted time, money and resources.
  • Negotiating as necessary in accordance with the sourcing strategy.
  • Ensuring negotiated agreements are properly executed.
  • Supplier management – ensuring supplier perform in line with company policies and standards.

Applicants to this role should have 3-5 years of relevant experience in a similar position.  It is essential that you have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with an analytical approach to your work and the ability to work under pressure.  Previous experience in negotiating complex commercial agreements is essential and the ability to develop positive supplier relationships.
