Currently recruiting for an experienced SAP Data Analyst on a contract basis for an Oil and Gas client based in Aberdeenshire. The contract will likely last until the end of November and the client is ideally looking to take on someone who is available at short notice.

The SAP Data Analyst will be responsible for providing a support service to the Maintenance and Inspection Teams on the company’s North Sea Asset.  The SAP Data Analyst will have the following main duties and responsibilities:

  • Carrying out all SAP PM Module updates which include:
    • Creation and / or updating of functional location, equipment numbers and tags with associated technical classes / characteristics.
    • Creation and / or updating of Preventative Maintenance plans, maintenance items, tasklist, operations, standard texts and measurement points (SCE and HAE).
    • Creation and / or updating of BOMs following new material requests and action of deferrals when required.
  • Liaising when required with MIEC Vendor for new modification builds and implementing third party vendor maintenance submissions into SAP PM system, in accordance with the corporate maintenance strategy.
  • Supporting M&I processes and procedures by conducting regular audits on SAP.
  • Undertaking periodic data clean-up in SAP (notifications and WO) - improving the integrity and quality of maintenance engineering data and processes, resulting in a reliable and auditable system.
  • Assisting the Maintenance and Inspection Team, Performance and Growth, Drilling, Asset Integrity and Shutdown Team with backlog reduction ad hoc activities, including progress reporting, WO planning and shortfalls.
  • Preparing the Planned Maintenance Routine (PMR) look ahead, analysing the monthly M&I programme, highlighting potential conflicting issues on resource constraints (manpower, ad-hoc contractors etc.) and updating SAP changes where required.
  • Providing support to onshore / site M&I Team in SAP PM Processes and advising them to make sure they operate and utilise the system to its best advantage.
  • Upon specific request, providing ad hoc reporting to the business by extracting data from SAP and external systems and manipulating the information in MS Access and Excel.
  • Hazard Area Maintenance reporting – managing defect and ad hoc items within the database and maintaining the HAE database in SAP according to feedback from field or site support.
  • Supporting the DLR process (creation of Functional locations and PMs as required).

Education / Experience:

  • Applicants will be expected to possess an HND qualification in a relevant technical discipline.
  • Circa 3-5 years’ worth of SAP analysis experience as a minimum, within the Oil and Gas Industry, is essential.
  • Previous and recent experience in a similar SAP Data Analyst type role within the Oil and Gas Industry is essential.
  • Extensive and specific experience with the SAP PM (Plant Maintenance) Module would be highly desirable.
  • Winshuttle / Quadrate experience would be preferred.
  • Applicants will be expected to possess excellent PC skills in relation to data extraction and manipulation.
