Based onshore, the Rope Access Project Engineer will have the following main duties and responsibilities:

• Rope access project support will cover the following areas, but not limited to:
• Liaising with Project Manager / Project Engineers over upcoming work.
  • General Rope Access support to Project Teams and clients.
  • Reviewing Rope Access scopes within projects, assisting with time lines and equipment requirements.
  • RA method statements.
  • RA risk assessments.
  • RA Team structures for scopes.
  • RA scope equipment selection.
  • RA pre-mobilisation briefings and support.
• Liaising with and supporting Rope Access Technical Authorities.
• HSE support in accident and incident investigation.
• RA stores support.

Experience / Qualifications:

• Previous and specific office-based Rope Access project engineering experience within the oil and gas industry is essential.
• Previous experience of working as a Rope Access Technician is essential.
• Applicants will be expected to possess a current / valid IRATA level 2 Rope Access Qualification.
• Applicants will be expected to possess a strong fabric maintenance background with general knowledge of Black Trades, covering:
  • Rigging;
  • Fabrication;
  • Surface preparation and coating;
  • Insulation; and
  • Conventional Inspection.
