This role would suit a nearly or newly qualified Accountant, and would offer excellent progression opportunities. A strong working knowledge of IFRS essential and SAP experience is desirable.

The duties will include:

• Preparing the reporting of Group interim results.
• Preparing the Group’s Annual Report and Consolidated Financial Statements.
• Researching and interpreting International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRSs), including the impacts of new IFRSs on the Group, and providing appropriate solutions to technical accounting issues across the Group.
• Performing key reconciliations, including the Group equity position on a monthly basis.
• Preparing and maintaining models for complex technical accounting areas such as share-based payments and embedded derivatives.
• Working to resolve any financial reporting queries.
• Preparing and maintaining template financial statements for use in the preparation of subsidiary statutory accounts in addition to providing technical accounting support to entity accountants.
• Liaising with external auditors to support the audit of the Groups results, both interim and at year-end.

Audit experience in Big Four or similar accounting practice would be advantageous but not essential.
