Currently recruiting for an experienced Unified Communications Manager (Telephony / Video Conference) on a permanent staff basis for an oil and gas company based in Aberdeenshire.

The Unified Communications Manager will have the following main duties and responsibilities:

  • Responsible for telephony infrastructure at a global level.
  • Responsible for video conference infrastructure at a global level.
  • Responsible for the online conferencing solution at a global level.
  • Acting as a coach for the team on technical, operational and organisational issues.
  • Handle any escalations from Regional / Business Teams.
  • Responsible for delivering the unified communications services as per the definition of the services owned by the Senior Manager of Global Network and Collaborations. This includes the global telephony infrastructure, the global video conference infrastructure, meeting room strategy and the online conferencing solutions.
  • Responsible for managing the Unified Communications Operational Team on a day-to-day basis.
  • Responsible for ensuring that the Unified Communications Operational Team members, spread globally, follow IT processes.
  • Responsible for proposing the optimisation of unified communications services and new services. Initiating related projects after the approval of IT Management.
  • Participating in setting and managing the budget for the Unified Communications Team.

Experience / Qualifications:

  • Previous and specific experience in a Unified Communications Manager type role, relating to telephony / video infrastructure, is essential.
  • Previous experience in a similar role within the oil and gas industry would be preferred.
  • Experience and knowledge of managing telephony and in-house video conference infrastructure is essential.
  • Experience with call routing, contact centre, SIP and H323 protocols, SAF and ICT, PBX systems and Expressways is essential.
  • A Bachelor’s Degree qualification in a Telecommunication / Computer Science discipline, or another field, would be preferred.
  • ITIL Foundation certification would be preferred.
