Our client is looking for a Marine Superintendent on a permanent basis to be based in their Aberdeen office.

Job Description

  • Responsible for the provision of marine and maritime support and expertise to and for UK operated assets.
  • Providing marine support in respect to hull and marine inspections (inclusive of both structural and system elements), and ensuing that these are carried out in accordance with the management system, asset specific procedures, performance standards and in line with industry best practices and accepted international rules and regulations.
  • Focal point for all marine and maritime scopes and issues, the Marine Superintendent will work closely with the asset operational personnel and the integrity team to ensure safe and reliable marine and maritime infrastructure and operations.
  • Providing the Marine and Maritime Technical Authority role and responsibilities as detailed within the TA Framework.

Job Specific Skills and Knowledge

  • Certificate of Competency of Master Mariner or Degree or equivalent.
  • Proven track record with experience in FPSO engineering and operations inclusive of offloading operations.
  • Experience of both conventional and DP shuttle tanker offloading.
  • Contractual awareness, ability to read, understand and execute standard contracts
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage, co-ordinate, and integrate a number of simultaneous activities.
  • Results-oriented, articulate, persuasive.
  • Able to demonstrate initiative and assertiveness in a positive and constructive manner to both known work areas and new ones.
  • Displays high standards of ethical and professional behaviour, consistent with the companys values and business conduct policies.
