Currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Condition Monitoring Engineer on a permanent staff basis for a client based in Aberdeen.

The Senior Condition Monitoring Engineer will have the following main duties and responsibilities:

  • Utilising various Condition Monitoring techniques in the collection and analysis of data to identify machinery defects and provide appropriate and timely maintenance recommendations.
  • Client facing role so as a Responsible Engineer, the successful candidate will be expected to liaise with client Rotating Equipment Technical Authorities in order to advise, resolve and close out machinery condition exceptions.
  • Liaising with the company’s Business Development Team to maximise potential products and service sales.
  • In addition to the role’s technical and business development activities, there will be an element of contract management required. The successful candidate will assist in Service Delivery Management in the commercial and operational planning aspects of contract and ad hoc work-scopes.
  • Receiving vibration and system data collected from hand-held and online data collection systems.
  • Receiving and processing data from wireless sensors, app based systems, as well as multi-channel and online data collection systems.

Education / Experience:

  • A current and valid BINDT / ISO VA2 qualification in vibration analysis is essential.
  • A degree qualification would be preferred.
  • Previous, specific and recent experience in a similar Condition Monitoring Engineer type role within the Oil and Gas Industry is essential.
  • Previous experience in machine high-speed balancing, firepump performance testing, rotor-dynamic analysis and thermography would be highly desirable.
  • The role will involve occasional offshore work so applicants must be willing to work offshore.
