Currently recruiting for an experienced SHE Manager on a permanent staff basis for a food production company based in Aberdeenshire.

The Role:

  • Reporting directly to the Technical Director, the SHE Manager will lead the implementation of the safety, health and environmental strategy across the company, whilst proactively driving continuous improvement within this critical area of the business.
  • The SHE Manager will be a key member of the Technical Management Team and will be responsible for managing both the SHE Coordinator and Administrator.
  • The SHE Manager will be responsible for engaging with employees across all levels of the business, on all SHE matters, with the outcome of creating and delivering a behavioural safety programme to strive for a zero-accident rate.
  • The SHE Manager will also be responsible for chairing the safety committee and also for developing the Safety Representative’s professional knowledge and experience through training and best practice visits.
  • The SHE Manager will also be responsible for developing and ensuring that all relevant parties are aware of, and understand, appropriate policies and procedures that account for and comply with current legislation.

Qualifications / Experience:

  • A NEBOSH General Certificate, as a minimum, is essential, although a diploma certificate would be highly desirable.
  • Previous SHE / HSE management experience is essential.
  • Previous SHE / HSE management experience within the food production industry, or an FMCG environment, would be highly desirable.
  • Previous and extensive experience of implementing legislative requirements is essential.
  • Applicants will be expected to have project management experience.
  • The role will involve occasional travel to company sites across the UK, therefore applicants must be willing to do this.
  • This role would be suited to an experienced SHE / HSE Manager who is capable of driving Safety, Health and Environmental strategies forward.
