Buyer / Materials Coordinator - VR/19265
Our client, based on the south-side of Aberdeen, has a new requirement for a Buyer / Materials Coordinator to join their Purchasing Team on a fixed-term contract for 6 months.
Duties and Responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring all requisitions and pricing requests etc, are processed in a prompt and efficient manner.
- Ensuring that all materials and services are sourced, priced, purchased and supplied in accordance with Company BMS.
- Managing the tender process; issuing appropriate RFQ documents, evaluation of submissions, commercial negotiation, negotiation of terms conditions and drafting final documents.
- Selecting appropriate suppliers for delivery.
- Committing Purchase Orders in a timely and cost-efficient manner, within limits of financial authority.
- Monitoring all confirmed orders with suppliers and ensure on time delivery and expediting outstanding Purchase Orders.
- Acting as the focal point for all project materials and equipment.
- Maintaining accurate Materials Status Reports and Rentals Register.
- Ensuring that all invoice queries are processed in a timely manner.
- Ensuring equipment, materials and consumables are correctly identified and certified to the appropriate specification.
- Liaising with appointed Freight Forwarder to ensure materials and equipment are receipted in a timely manner.
Applicants to this role should offer previous experience in a similar role within a Supply Chain environment – with knowledge of a variety of purchasing methods and procedures.
