Currently recruiting for an experienced IM Business Analyst / Livelink System Support professional for an Oil and Gas client based in Aberdeen. The initial contract duration will be until the end of the year but it is anticipated to be a long-term contract.

The IM Business Analyst / Livelink System Support incumbent will provide Content Management Business Analysis and support for Business functions, leveraging Livelink ECM software to provide integrated process and content management solutions to meet the business requirements.

This role will provide governance, guidance and recommendations around operational support and administration of Livelink Content Server 10.5, eForms and Kofax related topics where required, as well as 2nd line support activities including Metadata Management and Implementation and Search Interface implementation.  The IM Business Analyst / Livelink System Support incumbent will have the following main duties and responsibilities:

Technical / Functional:

  • Conducting detailed requirements gathering, business / technical analysis and designing solutions consistent with existing implementations.
  • Developing taxonomies, process, permissions models and document links.
  • Providing efficient support to the existing Livelink ECM user base covered by the UK office, primarily in Aberdeen but also in other company locations, logging all support activity into the incident management application (ServiceNow).
  • Assisting with testing of new / updated Livelink software and after monthly window patching.

Preventative maintenance:

  • Performing daily, weekly and monthly preventative maintenance checks.
  • Providing support to the IM Applications Team for the following activities:
    • System health checks and capacity planning and all resultant remediation activity;
    • System usage profiles and data profile reporting;
    • Application patching;
    • Software upgrades;
    • Administration password management;
    • Pre-production environment management and administration;
    • Hardware upgrades;
    • Capacity planning system configuration – data tiers, search and index etc; and
    • Testing and change management.

Operational support:

  • System performance issues.
  • Workflow solutions support.
  • System configuration.
  • Resolution of search and index issues.

Education / Experience:

  • A Degree qualification in Computing Science / Information Technology / Engineering, or another relevant discipline, would be preferred.
  • Applicants will be expected to have experience with Livelink server versions 9.x (10.5 advantageous) and Content Server 10.x.
  • Applicants will be expected to have experience with Livelink Performance Analyser and Monitoring Tools.
  • Records Management and Classification experience is desirable.
  • Previous experience of supporting Livelink document management systems is essential.
  • Previous and specific experience in an IM Business Analyst type role within the Oil and Gas Industry would be highly desirable.
  • Experience of Livelink Workflows and / or eForms Management Server, as well as a working knowledge of Open Text SDK, is essential.
  • Applicants will be expected to possess substantial IT experience within the Oil and Gas Industry.
  • Applicants will be expected to possess knowledge of Opentext Directory Services (OTDS).
