Currently recruiting for an experienced Project Manager (Fabric Maintenance) on a permanent staff basis for an Oil and Gas company based in Aberdeen.

Reporting to the Managing Director, the Project Manager will play a key role in the planning and execution of job requirements with further responsibility for managing costs, resources and process to achieve client delivery timescales, budget and quality.

The Project Manager will have the following main duties and responsibilities:

Technical:

  • Providing support as a company focal point to the company’s multi-discipline workforce on client assets.
  • Ensuring all work-related activities are carried out in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Managing and updating the Fabric Maintenance tracker spreadsheet.
  • Assisting with desktop cost, time and resource estimates and creating detailed work scopes.
  • Producing monthly reports to include safety statistics, productivity and future planning.
  • Monitoring and reporting on progress against client KPI’s.
  • Identifying and actioning threats and opportunities.
  • Raising, receiving and reviewing materials request forms.
  • Attending client meetings and providing feedback to company personnel as required.
  • Liaising with the client’s representative to ensure that all contractual requirements are carried out and that good client relations and communications are maintained at all times.

HSE:

  • Ensuring all safety requirements are understood by all onshore and offshore personnel.
  • Working closely with the Training and Logistics Manager to ensure identification and implementation of training requirements for all personnel.
  • Working with the client to set HSE KPI’s and criteria.
  • Ensuring company and client processes and procedures are understood by all personnel and are implemented.
  • Ensuring Emergency Response Procedures are made known to Offshore Supervisors and Onshore Engineers.
  • Ensuring compliance with company ISO 14001 accreditation and client waste management procedures.

Line Management:

  • Responsible for managing a team of Project Engineers, ensuring that they are fully competent to undertake their role.
  • Identifying resources required for delivery of client requirements in conjunction with the Operations Manager and Training and Logistics Manager.
  • Participating in the recruitment process.
  • Conducting one-to-one meetings, as well as the appraisal and development of team members through company performance and appraisal systems.
  • Authorising overtime where justified and within budget and as agreed with the client.
  • Demonstrating good people management skills.

Budget:

  • Accountable for achieving delivery within an agreed budget, as defined with the client at the beginning of the project.
  • Clarifying record and monitoring progress against budget.
  • Ensuring all relevant costs (e.g. expenses) are properly recorded, comply with client contracts and are submitted for invoice preparation.

Experience:

  • Previous, extensive and specific experience in a Project Manager type role within the Fabric Maintenance sector is essential.
  • The successful candidate must have experience of managing a team of Project Engineers within a Fabric Maintenance environment.
