TMM are supporting the recruitment of an Assistant Project Accountant for a multi business unit organisation that designs and manufactures products for the energy industry. This role would suit those with a project/cost background or similarly those with billings experience looking to take the next step up. Ideally, you’ll have 3-5 years’ experience.

Mentorship and study support will be provided.

      

You will be responsible for preparing month end revenue, forecasting, and analysis of incurred costs v budget.

      

Your duties will include the following:

  • Accurately allocating costs to project budgets.
  • Preparing month-end revenue numbers.
  • Preparing month on month revenue variance analysis to forecast and budget.
  • Forecasting order backlog, working closely with planning division.
  • Calculating budget v actual variances.
  • Providing variance commentary.
  • Forecasting costs to be incurred on Projects which are ongoing and providing final margin estimate.
  • Consulting with Project Engineers/Managers to ensure accurate reporting and promote active knowledge sharing.
  • Monthly and Quarterly Reporting of project margin results to stakeholders.
  • Creating project margin review spreadsheets and analysis.
  • Calculating materials required for a project.
  • Assisting and preparing analysis on bulk material prices.
  • Assisting with cost scenario analysis for sales bids.

      

Individually, you will show an eagerness to learn and be equipped with a “can do” attitude. You will possess a strong aptitude for analysis and be able to communicate effectively with a number of stakeholders at varying levels.
