An experienced Contracts Advisor is required to support the supply chain function of a North Sea operator, with responsibility for a varied portfolio spanning operations and business support services. Offered on a 12-month contract basis, the role combines post-award contract management with involvement in tendering and supplier performance, covering service lines such as HSE, Logistics, HR, and Facilities. It’s a broad, fast-paced role requiring strong stakeholder engagement and commercial focus.

     

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing post-award activities across existing contracts, including progress tracking, change control, claims mitigation, invoice verification, and closeout.
  • Preparing and administering minor third-party contracts, ensuring full compliance with company and Joint Venture requirements.
  • Leading contractor performance management, implementing tracking measures and relationship strategies.
  • Acting as the Supply Chain focal point for upcoming tendering activity, including preparation of RFPs and evaluation coordination.
  • Leading contract negotiations and overseeing the development and award of new agreements.
  • Collaborating with Legal and functional specialists to ensure robust contractual governance and risk management.
  • Maintaining accurate records and workflows in SAP and eProcurement systems.
  • Ensuring internal and external stakeholder requirements are understood and met throughout the contract lifecycle.
  • Upholding high standards of contract administration in line with company policies and regulatory expectations.
  • Representing the Supply Chain function at Tender Board meetings, presenting recommendations and updates as required.

      

About You:

  • Previous experience in a Contracts Advisor role supporting similar work scopes, ideally for an Operator in the UKCS, with responsibility for managing multiple contracts of varying complexity.
  • Strong understanding of the full contracting lifecycle, including planning, sourcing, negotiation, contract drafting, and post-award management.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to collaborate effectively across multi-functional teams and engage with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Commercially astute, with proven negotiation skills and a solid grasp of contract law, terms and conditions, and risk management.
  • Proficient in SAP, e-Procurement systems, and Microsoft Office, with a degree in a relevant commercial discipline preferred.
