Overview job description:

The ERP Advisor acts as a link between business requirements and IT ERP Systems. They work with stakeholders to gather needs, enhance processes, and define cost-efficient IT solutions, with a focus on data analytics and digital transformation.

Main duties and responsibilities:

• Working with business stakeholders to gather requirements, improve processes, and define cost effective IT solutions that support digital transformation, with an emphasis on data analytics.
• Coordinating with Project Managers and IT teams to deliver reliable solutions and maintain strong collaboration between IT and business needs.
• Guiding project teams and business users to ensure deliverables meet quality standards and are sustainable.
• Communicating with IT infrastructure and support teams to confirm the technical feasibility of proposed solutions.
• Reviewing current SAP systems and recommend improvements related to finance processes and data.
• Supporting project implementation, resolve issues, and coordinate with vendors as needed.
• Carrying out development tasks following the ERP software development lifecycle and established change control and compliance procedures.
• Designing and implementing complex solutions using internal and external tools, managing testing and cutover activities, and providing ongoing ERP system support.
• Staying informed about SAP features, support their adoption, and create ad-hoc reports using SAP tools.
• Providing assistance for issues related to the Maximo application and associated tools.
• Maintaining awareness of cybersecurity risks in both IT and operational technology environments.

Desirable skills, experience & qualifications:

• Experience in IT business analysis and project management within the upstream oil and gas sector is desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to provide daily operational support for Finance and SCM IT/SAP systems.
• Skilled in developing, administering, configuring, and technically supporting SAP environments.
• Solid background in SAP FICO; additional SAP module experience is a plus.
• Strong understanding of IT principles and a broad range of technologies applicable to business challenges.
• Holds a bachelor’s or master’s degree in information systems, computer science, software engineering, or a related ERP-focused field.
• ERP system or project management certification is preferred.
