Are you a HSEQ professional looking to take the next step in your career? Due to continued business growth, we are recruiting on behalf of our client, an established HSEQ consultancy, for a newly created HSEQ Advisor position supporting clients in Inverness and Elgin. This is a full-time, permanent staff role. In this varied and rewarding role, you will work directly with client teams, developing, implementing, and maintaining health, safety, environmental, and quality (HSEQ) systems, providing professional advice, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

     

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing client-specific HSEQ plans and objectives.
  • Maintaining and supporting management systems aligned with ISO standards.
  • Conducting audits, inspections, incident investigations, and root cause analyses.
  • Providing hands-on advice and support on HSEQ legislation, policy, and practice.
  • Liaising with suppliers, certification bodies, and regulatory agencies.
  • Delivering (where qualified) internal HSEQ training and workforce engagement sessions.
  • Keeping clients informed on HSEQ performance, progress, and milestones.

     

About You:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in an HSEQ advisory role.
  • Recognised HSEQ qualification (e.g., NEBOSH Certificate) — working towards Diploma level preferred.
  • IRCA-certified Lead Auditor (ISO 9001, 14001, or 45001) or Internal Auditor with strong audit experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of UK health, safety, and environmental legislation.
  • Skilled in management system development, incident investigation, and report writing.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to work independently across multiple sites.
  • Pragmatic, proactive, and solution-focused approach to challenges.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between Inverness and Elgin.
