Are you an experienced and proactive Quality Advisor looking for your next challenge? TMM are recruiting on behalf of a thriving Energy Service company who are seeking a replacement Quality Advisor on a full-time, permanent staff basis at their site based in Cove. The Quality Advisor will support all Quality Assurance activities, working closely with internal teams, clients, suppliers, and contractors. The role requires strong communication skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a commitment to continuous improvement of quality systems and processes.

     

What you’ll be doing:

  • Supporting the review of client quality requirements during pre-qualification and tender phases, ensuring timely responses and highlighting any necessary exceptions or clarifications.
  • Assisting with ongoing reviews and updates to Project Quality Plans and Inspection and Test Plan templates.
  • Leading initiatives to promote and sustain strong quality performance across the business.
  • Delivering guidance, support, and training on quality activities to internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Helping improve and maintain the Quality Management System in line with ISO 9001 and API Q1 requirements.
  • Communicating any changes to the QMS clearly and effectively to relevant departments.
  • Developing and delivering training sessions on quality systems, tools, and applications.
  • Supporting risk evaluations of key processes and implement control measures to reduce the likelihood of failures (e.g., FMEA).
  • Leading and supporting investigations into NCRs, ensuring root causes are identified, corrective actions agreed, and solutions implemented.
  • Ensuring robust product identification and traceability systems are in place to meet client/project needs.
  • Managing the calibration and maintenance of monitoring and measuring devices, ensuring proper documentation is maintained.
  • Ensuring defective equipment is isolated and that repair or replacement is actioned appropriately.
  • Planning, conducting, and reporting on internal audits to ensure compliance with both internal and client requirements.
  • Providing training and guidance to support internal and third-party audit programmes.
  • Sharing audit findings promptly and work with stakeholders to address areas for improvement.
  • Identifying ways to enhance the audit programme based on risk and business opportunities.
  • Playing an active role in third-party audits, including client and certification assessments.
  • Monitoring and reporting on quality performance, offering recommendations for improvement.
  • Supporting quality-related reporting for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Participating in Lessons Learned reviews to share key insights and drive continual improvement.

      

What we're looking for:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar Quality Advisor role.
  • A confident communicator who can lead meetings, deliver training, and present at senior level.
  • Hands-on, solutions-focused mindset with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Qualified Internal Auditor with experience in both internal and external audit activities.
  • Skilled in root cause analysis and familiar with tools such as TapRoot.
  • Able to thrive under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to changing demands.
  • Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office and quality data systems.
  • Proven experience supporting and enhancing ISO 9001-compliant management systems.

      

Desirable extras:

  • Lead Auditor certification (IRCA or equivalent).
  • Professional qualifications or memberships (e.g., CQI Diploma, MSc, or HNC in a relevant subject).
  • Knowledge of industry testing practices (NDT/NDE, radiography, etc.) and technical standards (e.g., BS EN 10204).
  • Experience with third-party certification audits.
  • Continued Professional Development in quality management.
