Duties and responsibilities

• Ownership of Company’s competence management strategy.
• Supporting all stakeholders in driving continuous improvement of training and competence compliance to support Company targets to reduce cumulative risk.
• Managing in-house Competence Management Systems to support strategic objectives.
• Ensuring adequate training and competence measures are in place for critical personnel.
• Ensuring compliance with relevant legislative and industry training requirements.
• Providing subject matter expertise on training and competence, auditing and monitoring all related activities.
• Overseeing the governance of contractor competence management.
• Communicating relevant processes and requirements throughout the business.
• Leading the Training & Competence team (2).

Applicants to this role require

• Demonstrable experience in similar roles within the energy industry.
• Excellent planning, influencing and communication skills.
• Recognised Assessor and Internal Verifier qualifications.
• Experience with Competence Management Systems and vocational/technical training requirements for the Energy industry.
• Good working knowledge of environmental and safety regulations.
