Job Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Trainer and Competency Assessor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, delivering, and evaluating training programs, as well as assessing the competencies of employees to ensure they meet organisational standards. This role requires a strong understanding of adult learning principles, excellent communication skills, and the ability to adapt training methods to diverse audiences.

The Trainer will be responsible for ensuring employees are trained to the necessary competence level, arrange for them to be assessed for competence, record the training and competence, and issue the ‘Training Passport’ to each when the required competence is demonstrated.

Key tasks:

• Undergoing ‘train the trainer’ training to enable the individual to train others.
• Reviewing work instructions, procedures, competence profiles to ensure fit for purpose and updating as necessary.
• Delivering training to employees and third-party delegates as required. It is anticipated training will be both classroom and hands-on, mainly the latter.
• Monitoring, tracking and recording training to ensure all aspects are covered.
• Arranging for competence assessments following training and for external verification.
• Approving awarding of ‘Training Passport’ to those deemed competent and maintaining records.
