On Course For Success

Hazel had big plans to head to Australia in 2019, but COVID had other ideas. Instead, she pivoted to study Accountancy & Finance at RGU—and quickly realised she loved the problem solving and practical side of the course.

Her third-year placement with a practice firm gave her a taste of working with all kinds of businesses, but it also helped her discover she preferred the focus of working for one employer in industry.

After graduating, she finally made it to Australia—travelling, lifeguarding on the Gold Coast, and meeting people from all over the world.

Back in the UK, it was time to get job-hunting and that’s when she connected with Rebecca, our Accountancy & Finance recruiter, who suggested a payroll role at TMM. Hazel had such a great experience with Rebecca that joining the team felt like the natural next step.

Outside of work, Hazel loves golf, water parks and scratching her competitive itch on the Nintendo Switch.
